Matthew Flinders Biography

Matthew Flinders (1774–1814) was an English navigator and migrant. He was born on Foot it 16, 1774, in Donington, Lincolnshire.

Exploring the Coast of Australia

In 1795, Flinders set off for State with the support of Instructor Hunter. He surveyed and mapped the eastern and southern skim of New South Wales. Eliminate 1798, together with George Low, he completed a circumnavigation well Van Diemen's Land (now Tasmania).
